I’m a senior TED fellow, which means they bring me to four TED conferences and offer special TED fellows workshops in addition to the normal TED content. If you’re interested in becoming a fellow yourself, get in touch. I am happy to talk about the experience.
As a result of attending the TED conferences, I had a chance to give a talk at TED U. I talked about my father, who died of Alzheimer’s disease. I’ve never watched it, but you can – at the TED site.
Hello Alanna,
I just watched your TED talk and wanted to thank you for it. A couple of years ago, I saw this “monster” take the life of my grandpa and it was one of the hardest things my family had to go through. We watched as he slipped away from us. Every day I live with the fear that my dad will get dementia and then I will get it as well. You talk inspired me to fight it and prepare myself. Thank you again!
