About The Blog

You should not seek change lightly. International development programs should be efficient, effective, and evidence based. They should be implemented by professionals who know what they are doing. They are not easy to run. They are genuine, difficult work, done to make this world a better place to be. International assistance deserves and requires serious thought.

This blog is my attempt at that serious thought.

From time to time, I go on sponsored trips to report on development topics. I attended Women Deliver on a media scholarship from the organization, Oxfam sent me to UN week in 2010 as a VOICE blogger, and I attended UNCTAD in spring 2012 with funding from the Qatari Ministry of Business and Trade. I will always disclose blog posts written while on sponsored trips.
