Expats clearly distort the market in the countries they inhabit. The labor market for example, and the fancy restaurants. Distressingly often, the commercial sex workers. Chris Blattman has a nice post up on the phenomenon. He also links to a UN report on the macroeconomic consequences of peacekeeping missions. I haven’t read the report yet, but I plan to.
Hey Alana,
This may be a bit off-topic, but I stumbled onto your blog accidentally a couple of weeks ago and have been a regular reader since. Good stuff…Keep it up!
Thanks!
I am so glad you like it!
I don’t suppose you want to send me a question to answer for my new Q & A feature? So far the questions I have only received 2 questions and neither of them seem right to start things off with.
